Notice to Customers on the Distribution Rate Reductions Starting Sept. 2011 Billings
CEPALCO Implements Reduction of Distribution Rates Starting with the September 2011 Billings
Good news to CEPALCO costumers! CEPALCO will have a reduction on their distribution rate. Please see details below.
The Cagayan Electric Power & Light Company, Inc. [CEPALCO] wishes to inform its valued customers of the reduction of CEPALCO's Distribution Rates starting with the September 2011 billings based on the ERC Order dated August 22, 2011 provisionally approving CEPALCO's proposed Maximum Average Price [MAP] for Regulatory Year 2012.
Specifically, the average reductions in the distribution charges, if compared to the April 2011 billing, are as follows:
However, also starting with the September 2011 billings, the Transmission Charge of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines [NGCP] will increase by an average of 18 centavos per kilowatthour due to NGCP's normalization of their Transmission Charges. To recall, NGCP's Transmission Charge in the August 2011 billing was abnormally low due to a one-time downward adjustment implemented by NGCP in the said billing month. As we all know, the Transmission Charge is a mere pass - through charge collected by CEPALCO for NGCP.
We hope all CEPALCO customers will be guided by this announcement. Thank you.
CEPALCO Management
