Alegria Hills, an Ayala Premier Land

Just recently had a tour with blogger friends in Alegria Hills, one of Ayala's premier land project located in Cagayan de Oro City. This is Ayala Land's first high-end residential development in Mindanao.

Alegria Hills comes from the Spanish word Alegria that stands for joy and merriment of which Alegria Hills can definitely offer. It has the 360 degree view of Cagayan de Oro, beaming a good life.

A few lots available still. Hopefully, I'd be one of them soon.

Here's a glimpse of what's inside Alegrial Hills from a rookie 'photographer':

The race versus Rotavirus

The enemy is Rotavirus which causes 4000 deaths worldwide in means of diarrhea related diseases for children aged 5 years and below. This enemy is fatal but can be defeated thru an early vaccine.

In the Vaccines Congress 2013 held last January 27 and 28 in Cagayan de Oro City, Doctors and individuals who advocate for the race versus Rotavirus group together to discuss best practices and share insights on how to defeat the dreaded diseases. This is represented by marathon coach master Rio dela Cruz to race against this fatal disease.

This vaccine has been recommended by WHO's SAGE to be part in all immunization programs. Health centers all over the country should take part in this race. Maybe the government could shoulder part of the expenses to make it affordable to everyone especially those who needed them the most and in secluded area.
